The class started unusuall as only people living in Yokohama was able to enter the classroom at first. Following on, those who had their ID cards with themselves was able to enter the classroom. Gradually, the rest of us were able to enter the class. However, only the ones living in Yokohama was able to sit on a chair and the rest was told to line up at the back of the classroom without blocking other's sight. I was confused what was going on. Time just went on going until Mr.Paterson finally allowed us to sit down on the chair. He explained that the situation we experienced just now was exactlly the same as what the palestinians are experiencing there everyday. Once the light of the classrom was turned off, the projecter screen showed a video of a palestinian family forced to leave their house by a random Israel man. Normally, strangers shouldn't have any rights to take away one's belonging. However, the man in the video counterargumented to the family that the man will be taking the house land for them before another stranger will take it away. This video made me realize how serious the discrimination issues are for people in Palestine.
