 In today's class, we watched holliwood movies and disney movies which inflicted a negative impression of Arab. For example, the intro song of Aladdin had lyrics saying                            "Oh, I come from a land - From a faraway place - Where the caravan camels roam. - Where they cut off your ear - If they don’t like your face - It’s barbaric, but hey, it’s home." I believe that lyrics such as "they cut off your ears - If they don't like your face" gave thoughts of Arabians being terrifying and horrifing people to young childrens who were watching Araddin and singing the song repetedely at that time. Adding to this, we watched parts of holliwood movies such as "Reel Bad Arabs". Most of these movies had scenes of Arabians having  knifes,guns,bombs in their hand and harming people. At first, I didn't know much about how holliwoods and broadcasting programs would represent Arabians in their works. But now, after knowing it, I was relized of how important it is to have the feeling of not judging people by their country and the actions caused by them in the past.
